In Cardinal Sin, we learn that Tony once had a fling with Betty while he played for the Cardinals. Did Tony cheat on Marie?

Considering Tony became jealous when he thought Marie might have been having an affair with a painter, this is highly unlikely. Also, since we don't know exactly when or how Marie died, it's possible that he was with Betty after her death, but before his injury. Either way, this is still a faux paux on the writers' part.
