The Magic of Alyssa Milano

For Alyssa Milano, facing the cameras is as natural as tying her shoelaces! That's because this brown-eyed girl has been posing ever since she was a baby.

Born on December 19, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York, Alyssa was still in diapers when commercial casting agents chose her adorable face to star in a television ad for infant products.

Four years later, Lyss and her parents, Tom and Lin, moved to New York's Staten Island, where the charismatic little girl landed parts in several stage productions, including the musical Annie.

On to L.A.!

After spending the next seven years watching their daughter polish her performing skills and prove that acting was much more than a passing fancy, Alyssa's folks relocated the family to Los Angeles, California, in the hope that Lyss would have greater acting opportunities.

Tom's and Lin's move was not just one of loving support; it was also an act of infinite wisdom. The following year, at the age of 11 1/2, Alyssa Jayne Milano uttered her first words as "Samantha Micelli" on the L.A.-based show Who's the Boss?, a series that would be destined for long-lasting success and make Lyss a household name!

Alyssa has made her mark!

In addition to her WTB? role, Alyssa has managed to maker her mark in the entertainment world in other ways. She's appeared in several feature films, including the 1985 flick, Commando, has starred in made-for-TV movies such as 1986's Canterville Ghost and Dance 'Til Dawn, which aired in 1988, and she has even released a few singing albums in the country of Japan!

Remarkably enough, Alyssa's personal life is well-rounded as her career! Though performing will always be a priority, she is also enthusiastically committed to her family (she's absolutely crazy about her younger brother Cory), friends, exercise and attending college.
